IT Technicians are responsible for a variety of tasks, including ensuring the integrity of computer workstations and software, acting as a point of contact for employees experiencing computer problems, and serving as a resource for all IT-related inquiries. IT Technicians may also be assigned other technical duties based on the needs of the company. They also provide support for these systems through remote access or site visits as required by management teams within the company.

Technicians must have a wide range of soft and technical skills in order to do their jobs effectively. IT technicians are in charge of more than just the company’s technical aspects. IT technicians interact with employees from all departments and levels, many of whom lack advanced technology skills, and must be patient and effective communicators.
